Alexis Walsh is an artist and designer based in New York City. Concentrating on wearable design with an integration of sculptural forms, she utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to fabrication. Alexis graduated from Parsons The New School for Design with honors in 2015.

The majority of Alexis's work focuses on the notion of using the human body as canvas. Through unconventional materials, such as metal and plastic, and the exploration of technologies including 3D printing and digital modeling, Alexis transcends the traditional modes of fashion to push the boundaries of wearable art.

In 2014, Alexis was nominated for Fashion Designer of the Year at the 3D Printshow Global Awards. In 2015, she was a featured speaker for the conference "Digital Fashion: Craft + 3D Printing" at 3D Printshow New York. That same year, she was awarded the inaugural Shapeways Education Grant to fund the creation of LYSIS COLLECTION. In 2016, she was a recipient of the Oxford Fashion Studio's Sponsored Designer Invitation to present both LYSIS COLLECTION and the SPIRE DRESS at the Oxford Fashion Studio Autumn/Winter 2016 New York Fashion Week runway show. In 2017, Alexis and her collaborator Justin Hattendorf were selected as finalists for the Purmundus Challenge 2017  international design competition to present the fashion film for APEX COAT at FormNext. In 2018, the duo was chosen again as finalists for the Purmundus Challenge 2018 competition and were invited to exhibit the entire APEX SERIES at FormNext.

Alexis's work has been exhibited in New York, Boston, Paris, London, Moscow, Madrid, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin.

In addition to her personal brand, Alexis also has a commercial fashion design career working at renowned companies including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Gap, Lululemon Lab, and Proenza Schouler. Full CV available upon request.
