Alexis Walsh is a designer and artist based in New York City. Through the exploration of emerging technologies including 3D printing and digital modeling, integrated with traditional handcraft, Alexis utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to push the boundaries of fashion design. Alexis graduated with honors from Parsons The New School for Design.
In 2014, Alexis was nominated for Fashion Designer of the Year at the 3D Printshow Global Awards. In 2015, she was a featured speaker for the conference "Digital Fashion: Craft + 3D Printing" at 3D Printshow New York. That same year, she was awarded the inaugural Shapeways Education Grant. In 2016, she was a recipient of the Oxford Fashion Studio's Sponsored Designer Invitation to present her work on the OFS Autumn/Winter 2016 runway show for New York Fashion Week. In both 2017 and 2018, Alexis and her collaborator Justin Hattendorf were selected as finalists for the Purmundus Challenge international design competition at FormNext.
Alexis's work has been exhibited in New York, Boston, Paris, London, Moscow, Madrid, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin.
In addition to her personal brand, Alexis also has a commercial fashion design career working at renowned companies including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Gap, Lululemon Lab, and Proenza Schouler. Full CV available upon request.
